what's in your iPod/CD player?

Hey all!
Wondering what your favorite music is at the moment? Looking for inspiration/new tunes as I approach my Fall lesson planning.

    well, i'm listening to "intergalactic bellydance caravan" right now, its techno/fusion and surprizingly good. I thought it would be pretty lame with a few good tracks but it's actually decent. I like using it as my stretch into warm-up cd, it's also great for doing drills to. It's techno so it has a steady beat but it doesnt get too overly repetitive, which is nice.

      Glad to hear someone else likes Galactic Caravan!
      My fav is *Soul Talk* from "Intergalactic BellyDance". I've been listening to their other cd...but haven't keyed in on any particular song. And, at the moment, I'm pretty hooked on Light Rain.

    Today I am listening to Pentaphobe ... last week I was into the soundtracks from Underworld, Moulin Rouge, and Charlie's Angels Full Throttle. I'll dance to anything!!!! :)

      So good to hear input on Intergalactic Caravan! I was considering getting some of their music, but not many dancers around this neck of the woods go beyond their usual cabaret stuff. My troupe seems to be the only ones trying new music. :( But there's always you lovely ladies to help with ideas ...

      Been listening to Pentaphobe all morning...I love this Tribal Metamorphosis album! Favorite tracks: "So Do Cerebral" "Ms Moody" and "Cybele"

    Hah, that's great. I'm listening to Intergalactic Caravan right now too. Fantastic CD. Soul Talk and Habet are my favorite tracks.

      pleeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me where I can get Intergalactic Caravan albums! I can't find them on the iTunes store...my iTunes accounts are in Ireland and Germany Im afraid so I can't get them from the US store....any ideas? Have they got a website?

        I dunno, i actually picked up my copy at a Border's bookstore, that might mean that they carry it on Amazon since they're basically the same company. I really like the remake of Steve Steven's "Hanina" and the two you guys mentioned, Habet and Soul Talk.

        I also second Light Rain, especially the "dream suite" album although "dream dancers" has that great song Rabekin on it. I just think there's more over-all on the dream suite one.

        As for traditional goes i am and have been addicted to John Bilezikjian for years now but also really like Abdo's stuff. Deep down i'm an old school girl, i just can't help getting into the techno stuff as well.

        I got both my Galactic Caravan *cd's* and both Light Rain *cd's* from emusic.com. It's an online thing...for about $10/month, I get about 40 songs I can download. You get to listen to about 30sec of each song and can even pick/choose to download the entire cd or just certain songs. I've gotten a lot of music this way in the last two-three months. Certainly beats going to the store and guessing what to buy!

    I'm listening to the new Esthero album, Wicked Little Girls. Liked the first one better as an album, but I can't seem to stop listening to this one. Earworms!

    I've also been dancing to Bjork (Vespertine and Homogenic) and VAS lately.

    I've got a variety of music: from heavy metal to classical to cheesy eighties.
    What I have been listening to the most recently is Rammstein, the Police and Sting, U2, Jet, Cold Chisel (80's Australian Band- really good), Sahara Lounge, Arabic Groove, Has Been (William Shatner -Surprisingly good), Mozart, and Bellylicious.

    Soundtrack from Bride and Prejudice. Can't get enough of it. And Bhangra Beatz, Bhangra Fever and Bhangra, the Original Punjabi Pop. I"m on a kick. Unless you want to know about the Deep Forest and the Simon and Garfunkel I was falling asleep to last night.

    Hello!

    My favorite CDs lately are Arabian Travel Series by Six Degree Records... some tracks are just for listening, I guess.
    On the "traditional" side, I like John Magic of John Bilezikjian lately for dancing.
